Today’s Prompt: Write a poem about nature in honour of Earth Day. I can’t decide which title to choose – in fact, I struggle more coming up with most of the titles than I do the poems…
Painter’s Sunset/Painted Sunset
by Angel Dawson
Orange blends into lilac
As the giant watercolour washes the sky,
A dreamy canvas stretches
From the horizon to twinkling stars on high.
Agate and amethyst light
Meet and blend into magical fiery hues,
And slowly the gloved-hand, Night,
Drags it deep into velvet, inky dark blues
Perhaps you would let me know which of the two titles you would choose? And for now, that’s all folks! It’s 1am and I am ‘zausted, so the rest will have to wait – I think I should take that bite and start posting as soon as I get home from work!
